Dads (and grandfathers) are totally underrated.
Behind every good dad there's a great mom (and every good dad knows that -- am I right daddy-os?) making yummy treats for him...like this banana cream pie I made for Mr. Incredible. It was dang good, lemme tell you.
Dads are good (I love the shot of both great dads with those boys of yours!) And you are right - good moms help set the pace for good dads. (any slices of pie left over?)
